        Honey Apple Arugula Flatbread

        One thing this everlasting pandemic has given me the space to do; is learn to cook. The highlight of my days are making my little meals and documenting them on the ‘gram. Obviously, I’m not shooting during this time, so cooking has been a new way for me to create.

        A lot of you have been asking me to share the recipes in a cookbook, but I figured the blog would be a good move! Shoutout to the #cookayesquad for making this blog post possible. Most times I whip up variations of things I have saved on my Food Pinterest board, and other times I make up things with what I have in the fridge. This Honey Apple Arugula Flatbread recipe is the latter.

        I love the peppery taste of arugula paired with the sweet taste of apples and honey! If you’re here for the mix, here are the deets on this tasty little breakfast bite.


        THE RECIPE

        Prep Time: 10 minutes
        Cook Time: 10-15 min
        Total Time : 20-25 min
        Serving: 1

        INGREDIENTS:

        • Flatbread (mine is Indian Style from Trader Joes”

        • Honey

        • A handful of Arugula (washed & dried)

        • One (1) Gala Apples (cored and thinly sliced)

        • 1/2 tbsp Butter (unsalted or salted – your preference)

        • Everything but the Basil Seasoning (Trader Joe’s)


        INSTRUCTIONS

        1.Take the tablespoon of BUTTER and spread it over your FLATBREAD.

        2.Next, place the ARUGULA on top of the FLATBREAD in an even layer.

        3.Layer the APPLE SLICES on top of the ARUGULA

        4.Drizzle with honey!

        5.Sprinkle with Everything but the Bagel seasoning (just a little for texture).

        6.Place directly on your oven rack or on a un-greased baking sheet for 10-15 minutes at 350.

        7.Once out of the oven, you can opt for an additional drizzle of honey, slice it up and enjoy!
